What to expect

I have a vivid memory of my first visit inside the Basilica of Saint Peter's in Chains. While approaching the altar I had the feeling that someone was staring at me, well as I turned my head I noticed that it was not a person but a statue doing that! I can't find better words to express how intense the look of a statue can be. Even Michelangelo was so impressed by his masterpiece that as he finished he started hitting the statue with a hammer shouting at Moses: "why don't you speak?"

After this 5 senses experience, we'll have a nice walk in a park to see the ruins of the Domus Aurea, the school of the gladiators and the Arch of Constantine.

Last but not least, I'll show you the area where I spent 2 years of my life to get my MD in Classical Archaeology by studying a context belonging to the age of Nero! It won't be a simple description, I'll take my post graduate thesis with me in order to show you how we turn the archaeological evidence into history!
